CERTICIFATIONS


HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product. It is a legal requirement for all food and drink operators in the UK. If you’re a start-up our Technical Team can help you get a robust HACCP in place from the outset, providing you wit the peace of mind you need to flourish. Our Technical Team can provide valuable external HACCP auditing support to established manufacturers, particularly during periods of change.


SALSA (Safe and Local Supplier Approval Scheme) is a robust and effective food safety certification scheme which is appropriate for smaller food producers and processors. Approved suppliers can demonstrate that they operate to standards that are recognised and accepted across the industry, including the major UK retailers. Our Technical Team can help you to plan and implement the processes and quality systems necessary to achieve SALSA certification. Our Technical Managers are SALSA scheme Auditors and Mentors.


BRCGS (British Retail Consortium Global Standard) is the GSFI(Global Food Safety Initiative) Standard for Food Safety. It is required by the UK’s major retailers and other large customers, for all food and drink suppliers, other than small SALSA accredited operators. Our Technical Team can help you implement the quality systems within your operation to achieve your BRCGS certification. The implementation and maintenance of these standards is unique to each operation so our team will work with you to develop a bespoke plan to based on your business needs.

The Technical Team have years of experience assisting food and drink businesses to secure a wide range of UK and international certification including FSSC 22000, Red Tractor and Organic Certification.

LABELLING COMPLIANCE

All food and drink products in the UK must comply with Food Standards Agency Food regulations. Do you know if the claims you are making on your labels are accurate and legal? Are you correctly declaring ingredients and allergens?

The Technical Team can provide advice and support to ensure your labels are compliant, including for products being exported (including USA labelling).

Using industry-recognised software, The Technical Team will analyse your product recipes and will provide you with a full nutritional analysis for your quality management records and your labels.
