Background

David Pogson, the Founder and Managing Director of the business followed the footsteps of his father who became involved with Tea in 1926, after branching away from his father’s tea business in 1959, Northern Tea Merchants was born.

Northern Tea is a Licensed Organic Producer with the Soil Association, Registered Fair Trade licences, Holder of STS Public sector hygiene accreditation and in the process of taking on a SALSA accreditation.
