The Food & Drink Forum’s team of food technical experts issue sector updates each month through an e-newsletter, Technical Bites.
These monthly publications provide food technical, legal/regulatory and market intelligence updates for food and drink businesses, along with other relevant information on grant funding, access to funded support, and upcoming events & training.
These newsletters aim to assist businesses with BRC Issue 8, which requires businesses to have processes in place to access information on historical and developing threats to the supply chain that may present a risk if adulteration or substitution of raw materials. Such information may come from trade associations such as The Food & Drink Forum. Businesses must be able to demonstrate that they maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant scientific and technical developments, emerging issues and known threats relating to the authenticity of the raw materials it purchases and the potential for food fraud in the supply chain. Mechanisms to achieve this may include membership to a trade association that provides this service or through subscription to a service provider for food fraud.
