Fully Funded Technical Support for Food Manufacturers

Food and drink manufacturers based in Leicester and Leicestershire could be eligible for up to twelve hours of fully-funded support from the Food & Drink Forum’s technical team through the Collaborate project.

Collaborate is a new scheme which will receive over £3million of funding through the European Regional Development Fund. The scheme is being run in partnership with Leicester City Council, Leicestershire County Council, East Midlands Chamber (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire) and the Food & Drink Forum.

Food and drink manufacturers can receive technical support in a variety of areas including but not limited to:

  • Shelf life extension
  • Upscaling
  • Production line improvement (including factory layout and design)
  • Product development
  • Packaging
  • Nutritional Content
  • Labelling
  • Customer Food Management Standards (i.e. SALSA, BRC, Organic, Halal, Red Tractor)

 

To be eligible to access this free support, businesses must be:

  • Registered as a food/drink manufacturer
  • SME (small to medium enterprise with less than 250 employees)
  • Based within Leicester or Leicestershire
  • Trading business to business (B2B)

 

As well as technical support, Collaborate will also offer eligible businesses; grant funding support, inward investment support, and will be holding a number of workshops and events.
